Gerard La Mothe Sr
Cornwall Central High School Cornwall New York class of 1969. Member of the Operating Engineers local 825 1971-1995, United States Army Reserves 1969-1991. Pasco County School system 1995-1998. Vice President of Superior Painting 1998-present. Gerard Sr or “Sarge” as we call him is my right hand. He assists me in running the crews and handles anything that I cannot fit on my plate. He specializes in front door stain refinishing and he operates the spray booth in our shop. When we begin a project Sarge makes daily rounds checking in on our employees, bringing materials and meeting with customers. When Sarge isn’t working he likes to spend time with his five grandchildren.
Pete La Mothe
Lincoln High 2000, Keiser University 2010. Pete is my younger brother and was basically born into the business. He is nine years younger than me and has been painting since he was in middle school. He has aspirations to start his own business someday he is just taking his time trying to figure out what the business might be. He attended culinary school ay Keiser so maybe something in the restaurant business. Until Pete decides on his career path he will continue to work with Superior Painting running any type of job I challenge him with. There is no aspect of the painting business that Pete can’t handle.
Collene Reynolds
Collene is the longest tenured employee of Superior Painting. She joined us about a year after we began the business. Collene has been an integral part of the growth and success of our company. She can be trusted to run any type of job but specializes in interior repaints and wallpaper removal. She has four children who have all worked with us at one point or another and in 2011 she became a grandmother, twice!
Jeff Elkins
High school diploma, certifications in small engine repair, carpentry and Lead Paint Safe practices. Employed by Superior Painting since 2001. Jeff is one of the hardest working men I have ever met. I can always count on Jeff to be at work every day on time and he always puts his heart and soul into his projects. Whenever I hire someone new I like to have them work with Jeff to set the expectations of what it means to be a Superior Painter. If you see Jeff arrive on your job don’t be surprised if we finish your project under my predicted timeline. Jeff is a family man who enjoys horseback riding, sports and living the country life. He is an honest man with one of the strongest work ethics I have ever seen.
Mandy Hebner
Grew up in a small town Scituate Rhode Island where she graduated from High School and worked at a waitress for a small family owned restaurant. Mandy is a second generation Superior Painter. Her father worked with us first and suggested we bring on Mandy. She started with very little experience and worked her way up to being one of the most requested painters that work with us. Mandy and her Husband Eric are expecting their first child the summer of 2012 so she is currently on light duty. Mandy’s only downfall is that she is a Red Sox fan, but I guess nobody’s perfect.
Eli Fennenboch
Superior Painting April 2008. Eli is another one of our second generation painters as his mother Dorothy worked with us as well. Eli was the first of our painters who got certified as a lead safe renovator. Eli is a very versatile painter who can run all aspects of paint projects from interior to exterior and residential or commercial. Eli is also a talented musician and is often found playing his guitar and singing at local restaurants or night clubs.
Vinnie Finaldi
Originally from South Orange New Jersey, moved to Tallahassee in the 70’s and attended Raa Middle School and Leon High School. Joined Superior Painting in March 2008. Vinnie is one of our most dependable employees. He is always on the job early and rarely ever takes a day off. Vinnie is more comfortable in a supporting role and is a great help to any of the job supervisors he works with. I can count on Vinnie to be a strong hand on any project we need help on. He enjoys motor sports (NASCAR), College Football, bull riding and drawing. He is one of the most liked and respected employees and the crew is always happy when Vinnie shows up on the job.
Dale Freed
Dale has a special job for Superior Painting. He is in charge of all pressure washing jobs. This is a very important role because not only is it critical to have the house properly cleaned for painting he is also the first experience you will have with Superior Painting and he sets the bar. Dale is a tireless worker who goes the extra mile to make sure our customers are completely happy. If we do not have any pressure washing jobs Dale will join a crew and assist in any other aspect of the painting project.
Billie Johnson
Billie is on her second stint with us. She worked with us eight years ago and left to raise her young children. Her kids have grown up a little and now she is back to work. She is a great interior painter and is a big help to Collene or Mandy when they have a large job. She is capable of handling her own job and is going to be a great help when Mandy is on Maternity leave. Billie’s mother-in -law and sister-in-law have also worked with us in the past. This truly is a family owned and operated business.
Parker Knapp
Parker is newer to Superior Painting but has extensive experience in the painting business. He is experienced in all facets of the painting business and has run his own business in the past. He was recommended to me by another friend of mine who used to run a painting company. Parker has proven to be a great addition to our team and is being counted on more and more each day.
